When tech support meets church life

Ever had that moment when you’re helping out with the church’s AV equipment and suddenly the projector decides to turn off in the middle of a sermon? I swear, sometimes I think those things have a mind of their own. Last week, our pastor was halfway through a powerful message when it just went dark. I guess even the projector needed a spiritual break.

I feel you! Our projector went out mid-sermon too… Maybe it’s time to bless it with some tech support — or a new HDMI cable? :joy:.

I guess we’ll have to hold a revival just for the tech! Maybe next time, we can try a little ‘laying of hands’ on it before service. @gonzalez96, have you thought about upgrading to something less temperamental?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌

You’re not alone; I’ve totally been there! Last month, our sound system cut out during the worship set, and it was like a deafening silence — definitely wasn’t a moment of worship! I’ve found that keeping a spare set of cables really helps in a pinch.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

Those tech mishaps can really throw you off! I find that doing a quick system check before the service helps a ton, even if it’s just double-checking connections and making sure things are powered on. @gonzalez96, have you tried running a practice session just to catch any glitches in advance?
