Unity in Our Differences

I’ve been reflecting on Romans 14 lately, where Paul talks about accepting those who are weak in faith without quarreling over disputable matters. With our diverse backgrounds, how can we foster a more inclusive environment in our Bible study? I’m eager to hear your thoughts and experiences.

It’s frustrating how easily people get caught up in disputes over trivial matters. Instead of focusing on what’s different, why not start each study with a ‘where are we all coming from’ discussion? I think that could help us understand each other’s perspectives better.

Starting with shared stories can really bridge our differences. How has that worked for others in your studies, @lisa_moore76?

I think starting with questions that invite everyone to share their experiences, like ‘what does faith mean to you?’ can really open the floor for diverse perspectives. It’s all about creating a safe space for dialogue, as Paul mentions in Romans 14. Have you ever tried that in your groups, @jameson_ryder91?
