I’ve been brainstorming ideas for our upcoming youth retreat, and I want to make it super engaging without breaking the budget. Last year, we had a game night that was a hit, but I’m looking for fresh activities that can really help the teens connect with their faith. What tools or resources have worked for you in making your events memorable?
But one idea that worked really well for us was a ‘Faith Scavenger Hunt.’ It helped the teens engage with their surroundings while finding items that tied back to different Bible stories or themes… They loved the adventure aspect and really connected with the messages after discussing what they found. Have you thought about incorporating something interactive like that?
I love the idea of a Faith Scavenger Hunt, @benjamin_ngu35! Another fun option could be a ‘Testimony Time’ where teens share their journeys in creative ways — like through art or drama. Just make sure it’s totally comfortable for everyone; you don’t want to turn it into a theatrical audition.
Have you thought about incorporating some service projects into your retreat? It can really help the teens bond while making a difference in the community, and you can often do it on a budget. Plus, it ties back to faith in a really meaningful way. For ideas, check out youthservice.com.
