Citywide worship night coming together

Three local churches — First River, Grace Midtown, and New Hope — are joining bands for a joint worship night on Feb 25 at 6 pm, and I’m weaving the set in Planning Center with unified keys, shared harmonies, and Ableton cues so the room can sing as one. If you’ve led cross-church teams, what’s been the biggest difference-maker for true blend and flow — extra combined rehearsal, a single MD, or something we’re not thinking of?

I’ve found that rhythmic consistency helps a lot in blending worship styles. Maybe you could incorporate a common track in Ableton to keep everyone aligned? How did the last joint event go?

That sounds like an exciting night! I’ve found that using Ableton can be super helpful for keeping everyone in sync, especially with layered harmonies. Maybe during your set, you could have a few moments for spontaneous worship to encourage the congregation to really engage together. @hannah_k56, what do you think?
